MISS VENEZUELA TAKES THE COVETED CROWN OF MISS UNIVERSE

It was an evening to remember, an evening of beauty and grace as 87 young beauties converge in Moscow, Russia to showcase their God-given assets to the whole wide world. Saturday, the 9^th of November  was a night of flowing  evening gowns, national costumes .The contestants competed in three categories; swimsuits, evening gown and interviews.

Thomas Roberts, anchor of (MSNBC Live) and Melanie Brown, aka Mel B, co-hosted the pageant while our lovely and fashion icon, Jeanie Mai, served as commentator.

Miss Universe Venezuela, Gabriela Isler is the 7^th young woman to take home the Miss Universe crown from Venezuela. The 25 year-old college graduate with a marketing degree enjoys dancing and baking when she is not modeling.

The night began with 87 contestants, but quickly only 16 were chosen to move forward; Costa Rica, Ukraine, China, Ecuador, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Spain, the United States, Nicaragua, Switzerland, India, Brazil and the Philippines. Only Spain, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, India, Brazil, the United States, Ukraine, Ecuador, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic made it to the top 10. From there only Ecuador, Brazil, Spain, Venezuela and the Philippines remained in the running for the crown.

1st RUNNER UP MISS UNIVERSE 2013 -Patricia Yurena Rodriguez from Spain
2nd RUNNER UP MISS UNIVERSE 2013- Constanza Baez from Ecuador
3rd RUNNER UP MISS UNIVERSE 2013- Ariella Arida from Philippines.
4th RUNNER UP MISS UNIVERSE 2013- Jakelyne Oliveira from Brazil.
